Hello again my friends!
Yesterday was a big day for me. Zack Peterson, the reporter from the Tampa Bay Times and I concluded the interviews necessary to complete the article centering around the memoir of my life “Behind These Eyes.” We did some seven interviews, some on the phone, one long one in person and a few on Skype. It has been a wonderful, albeit anxiety-producing experience. I can’t say enough nice things about this young reporter. He did his best to be responsible, thorough and make me feel as at ease as possible under the circumstances. There is potentially one more step which is a PHOTO SHOOT! GULP! I am trying to convince him to let me send him photos, but I think I will lose thid battle. They have their own photographers and want sharp, well thought-out pictures. Wish me LUCK with this step!
As I said, it has been a nerve wracking process for me, but I have tried to keep the higher purpose in mind, which is to give the public accurate insights into how it is to live as a homebound agoraphobic. Many people think we just sit trembling in a chair and have no lives. I hope this contribution helps to squash that myth! I’ll keep ya posted about the publicaton of the article. ONWARD !
